“金熊猫”奖国际纪录片评选活动是2005(第八届)四川电视节主体活动之一。本届“金熊猫”奖国际纪录片评选分两大类进行：人文及社会类和自然及环境类。分别设有以下奖项：最佳长纪录片、最佳短纪录片、评委特别奖、亚洲制作奖、最佳创意奖、最佳导演奖、最佳摄影奖、最佳音效奖、最具人文关怀奖和最具环境保护奖。

　　2005年11月26日晚，2005（第八届）四川电视节“金熊猫”奖国际电视节目评选活动颁奖典礼在成都国际会议展览中心金色歌剧院隆重举行。晚会上,“金熊猫”奖纪录片评选（人文及社会类）揭晓。以下为获奖名单。

　　这是一部关于中华文明的史诗之作。在影片建构的宏大叙事中，王朝的兴衰，文明的沉浮得到了令人信服的诠释。
　　 It’s an epic story of Chinese civilization. In a well-designed structure, the change of dynasties and the evolution of civilization are clearly demonstrated.

　　战争是如何走向和平的？正义是如何战胜邪恶的？本片用独特的叙事角度和精湛的影院技巧，让人们对60年前希特勒覆亡前那一历史瞬间有了感同身受的了解。

　　《绑架新娘》Bride Kidnapping in Kyrgyzstan
　　吉尔吉斯斯坦LOM FILM Kyrgyzstan
　　作为亚洲文化的一员，本片真实地记录了尚存于吉尔吉斯斯坦农村少数民族地区的抢亲习俗，在客观叙事中成功地使人感受到了作者强烈的责任感和对女性命运的关注。
　　 The film records the Bride Kidnapping in the ethic areas in Kyrgyzstan, a rare culture in Asia. The author also betrays his concern and worries upon women.

　　《高耀洁：苍生大医》GAO Yaojie: A Good Doctor
　　用口述实录的方式直面爱滋病问题，并深刻切中问题的要害，呼唤社会良知共同关注弱势群体。该片是同类题材中比较成功的一部。
　　 The film digs into the AIDS issue, using dictation to cut into sensitive but pertinent questions and calling for social conscience of caring the weak. It’s one of the most successful documentaries of this kind.

　　《战争的回音》Echoes of War MOLENWIEK Film
　　荷兰 MOLENWIEK Film The Netherlands
　　该片完美地调动了纪实、写意、童话和访问等多种元素，将战争给不同地区、不同肤色的儿童节带来共同的伤害表现得淋漓尽致，使不同文化背景、不同年龄的人都能体验到孩子们的回忆、梦魇和憧憬。
　　 Using records, on-site shooting, fairy tales and interviews, the film shows people the harm of war to children of different regions and colors. It makes audience feel the children’s memories, nightmares and longings.

　　导演娴熟驾驭了不同片种的表现技巧，在用凡人小事营造宏大叙事方面颇有新意，达成了传统与创新的有机融合。
　　 The director of the film gives us a perfect example of combining the traditional and new techniques to tell a grand story through depicting the lives of mediocre.

　　让镜头流动，让光影跳舞，在将多种影像元素有机统一、并使人们感悟到在凝固的建筑之下涌动的历史文化内涵等方面，颇具匠心。
　　 The film impresses audiences with its complete use of cameras and different film elements to make people feel the profound historical culture of China in the ancient emperors’ palace.
　　最佳音效奖Best Sound Effects
　　《玛雅的黎明》Dawn of the Maya
　　美国国家地理频道 National Geographic Channel USA
　　该片的音效设计颇具感染力和造型张力，在营造不同情绪氛围的美学效果上，表现得恰如其分，既使人充满想象，又似流水无形。
　　 The sound design of the films is unique. With a high- aesthetic value, the sounds go well with different the scenes, igniting people imagination and desire to carry on.
